Heather Hazzan is a photographer based in New York City whose thrill of photography lies in the intimate over the epic. She is passionate about capturing a more honest representation of women by allowing for genuine, vulnerable connections with her subjects and pushing the photo industry to be more inclusive. Her subtle, connected photographs make you stop and feel utterly disarmed while she dismantles the tired tropes of womanhood. In a world of countless aesthetics, filters and interventions, Heather is interested in simplicity and 'honest beauty'. Her stripped-back, often black-and-white portraiture centres on an intimate and emotional exchange with her subject. Recently named one of “PDN’s 30: New & Emerging Photographers to Watch,” Heather hopes to lens more confident, unapologetic women in the years to come. - The Agents Club
